– A wilderness adventure in the Swedish forest -

Sweden is a country up in the north, known for its large forests and for its 95 000 lakes. This is a wilderness paradise for nature lovers. We are now inviting you to come with us on a journey to discover these woods and lakes with. During this journey you will learn how to live and travel in these forests and learn many of the traditional skills from Johan from Nordic Bushcraft that grew up in these forests. The Swedish word for travelling in the forest is Skogsfärd and this has also given name for this course.


Come join us on a canoe trip through the Swedish forest in the autumn. In the autumn the forest is full of colors and wildlife but emptied on people. We will take you on a journey teaching you how travel and live in these forests and to handle your canoe. Since the forests are full of mushrooms you will get to learn which to pick and which to avoid and also how you can use these in cooking delicious meals. You will not just learn to make every meal a feast but also the classical Bushcraft skills like knife and axe skills to learning not just to make fire but also to maintain it.

  • Fire from bowdrill to match
  • Plants for food and medicine and its traditional uses
  • Navigating the wild
  • First aid in the wilderness
  • Food, traditional food, dutch and reflector oven cooking and more
  • Hygiene, keeping clean the wilderness way
  • Fishing, catching, preparing and cooking
  • Canoeing
  • Making useful items from the natural materials
  • …and much more

Included in the course is all food, transports during the course, rent of canoes

The course will start and end at a village called Mullsjö, we are looking to arranging transports  from the airports in Gothenburg, this will be an extra cost.
