About Nordic Bushcraft
100 years ago about 80 % lived out in the countryside and their Bushcraft skills were common knowledge. Today 80 % live in the cities ad all the knowledge that we used to know is starting to disappear. But it’s not only the skills that are disappearing but also the close connection to nature that we once had.
Nordic Bushcaft wants people to get connected with nature again that we have lost. We want to do this by taking you out there and teach you the skills that you need to be comfortable out there. But also show you with very little can live in the wilderness in comfort by packing knowledge instead of lots of expensive equipment just like our ancestors did.
About me
I grew up in Sweden’s countryside and from he was very little the nature has been his playground and still is. It´s in the nature where I feel at home and were he spends much of his time trying to learn as much as he can from it. Since he has spent a lot of time in nature he has acknowledged nature’s real value.
A part of my love for the nature is to travel and explore the Swedish nature. Hiking, canoeing, skiing it does not matter if it’s a cold day full with snow and wind or a hot afternoon in springtime does not matter. While nature evolves all the time, I have learned to adapt to natures different moods then try to force the nature adapt to me. Despite all the knowledge I have about nature and the skills needed to live in it, I am always looking for new knowledge and skills to learn. My inspiration to new knowledge I find in the Swedish nature and its history, but also among Sweden’s own native Sami people who have for a long time lived close to nature. In 2005 I founded Nordic Bushcraft as a way to teach the skills to live in the Swedish nature and has these skills this to people from all over the world.Work for us
We get a lot of people that wants to come and work for us. But normally we recruit people from our courses were we have the chance to get to learn people and see their skills. For us it’s more important that you have the right attitude and can teach, the Bushcraft and Survival skills we can teach you.
