How to take care of your gloves

Leather care
Leather is durable, supple and attractive – provided you look after it properly. To allow leather to retain its dirt and water-repellent surface, you should proof or oil your gloves regularly. It is advisable to moisten the leather before you oil it. How much time you spend looking after your gloves depends on how much you use them. However, too much care is better than too little. Your gloves not only become softer and more supple, above all they will last longer.

Correct usage
It is not advisable to use leather gloves for sports such as snowboarding and extreme carving (where hands and gloves grip sharp steel edges).

Lining care
Looking after the lining should be easy. As a result, all our models are machine-washable except for wool gloves, which have to be hand-washed and dried flat to retain their shape. Keeping the lining clean and fresh is important for its function and insulation properties, as dirt can easily block pores/fibers.

Wet or dirty gloves

DRYING:
Dry your gloves at room temperature. Never put them in a drying cabinet, tumble dryer or on a radiator as these dry out the leather. Gloves with a removable lining dry more quickly if the lining is taken out. What’s more, the lining can easily be washed in the washing machine. Do not turn the gloves inside out because it can be difficult to get the lining, insulation and insert back into place again. Do not place wet gloves against other clothing as the dye from the gloves might bleed.

WASHING:
We do not recommend that you wash your gloves too often. If you do have to wash your gloves, this is how: Put your gloves on and wash them with soap and lukewarm water. Carefully squeeze out the water (do not wring out the gloves!). Dry according to the above instructions.
Gloves dry slowly, so try to avoid washing them during
periods when you need to use them a lot.
